Are you good with words? Need practice on promoting products? We are currently looking to hire a dedicated person who is good at the promotional side of things to join the 1kjho Staff to help be a Community manager and promote our site.

Very tempting. I could definitely use the experience, and would enjoy promoting the site and helping to build this community up.

The only significant uncertainty is my school workload/schedule. Obviously I do not want to sign on only to drop the ball for other commitments. However, depending on what we do, making sacrifices from my schedule to help out here is hardly out of the question.

Yes by all means school comes first. While everyone is welcome to help promote the site I would prefer this position be filled by a person who will not get overwhelmed. So If you do find time, thats great, if not thats still fine.

Cool. I doubt I would realistically get overwhelmed by the work in and of itself - it is more a matter of perhaps simply not being able to put as much time into it or otherwise be available as I would like.

I guess what I am saying is - go ahead and consider me a reserve applicant of sorts and feel free to keep me in the loop or bounce ideas off me, but obviously I take no issue whatsoever with you prioritizing other applicants to fill the position.

On a sidenote:
What kind of community management are you looking for? Are you primarily going to focus on recruiting goals for now - say, X members by [Date], and hold the CM to that standard and qualitative deadline? Is it going to involve both community announcements within the site (similar to what you already do) and marketing/promotion of the site to the outside, or are those going to be delegated separately? Similarly, will the position include janitorial/mod duties or have a similar activity quota for site maintenance, or will the requirements/quotas be entirely focused on the community management goals of promoting the site externally?

Ah the tough questions, At first there will only be 1(cant make everyone in power) You will have mod privileges like me and lost. Phase 1 will be to beef up the site with new members like you said. As for the big announcements, i will be taking care of that for now. but you will be both a leader inside and outside the site.
